Chances are if you’re a woman with ADHD – diagnosed or otherwise – you’ve been ‘masking’ your whole life. Trying to squeeze your lostness, your lateness, your ‘too-much-ness’ (and your brilliance?) into an ‘NT’ shaped mould for so long that you’re probably pretty exhausted by now. It’s a wonder more of us haven’t checked into prison… or checked out altogether. All because society hasn’t cottoned on to the ways in which ADHD manifests in women – and that it’s not just a little boys club. I’ve been masking for as long as I can remember. I’d love to see it change for the next generation.

Here’s the really crazy thing: As I write this, the word ‘Neurodiversity’ is still being underlined with a squiggly red line, like it’s not even a thing.
Oh and look, there it is, only a day to turn it around – nice work specsavers!

Someone at Specsavers or their agency obviously follows this blog!

The invoice is in the post. Only kidding, I’m sure they thought of it themselves, it’s not a huge leap!

Good on Specsavers, there aren’t enough advertisers out there who look for tactical opportunities anymore, where have all the creative marketing departments gone ?

So true. We try and keep an eye out for the opportunities; the challenge is having a team of people ready to turn them around when everyone’s all already really busy! Maybe agencies should employ their own Emergency Response Units, ready to turn ideas around at hyperspeed. That might help get more clever tactical work like this out the door

Quite Iain,
That’s what happens when people approach every problem with a solution rather than a question.

Exactly the same mentality on building sites with safety helmets. Fines seem to be the only answer. Hit them in the pocket. Some cyclists see fit to not bother wearing helmets too.
