Miranda Dickinson

Fearlessly funny, this book was such a pleasure to read I have to give a rare 5 stars. Perfect balance between exaggeration for humour and “I’ve been there” real-life believability.
Erin Lawless

A wonderful original concept, hilariously well told and with characters that practically leap off the page at you. I LOVED this book so much! Claudia Carroll

Made me want to break up with someone, just so I could join the club immediately. Mathias is that rare breed of writer with a gift for making slyly humorous comments that seem to roll off her keyboard. Part comedy, part self-help, but wholly fabulous. Funny, warm and heartfelt.

A fun read, balancing laugh out loud moments with flashes of real empathy for break up buccaneers’ experiences. I loved Holly and her unashamed honesty. Love and friendship shone through the laugh out loud moments. Loved the twists and turns. Kept me guessing all the way to the end.
Jules Wake

A lively portrayal of bonds that blossom only among the broken-hearted with a delightfully meta edge.
Helen Cox

Smart and sassy. If you’ve ever lived (and loved) in a flatshare, this book will bring will bring those memories flooding back.
Polly James

The closest thing I have ever read that actually depicts break ups. Holly was my favourite character, gutsy, funny and quite outspoken. Loved her.

The quirky quartet learns how to dance like no one is watching (literally) and reinvent their lives, coming to realise that maybe romantic relationships are just the icing on the cake with the actual cake being the best friends who are better than family. Cathy, Good Reads

Literally ingenious. And I wonder the BUC isn’t an actual thing, because that’s AWESOME. Who better than friends to help you get over a break up? I loved getting to know the girls – and guy – of break up club..
