The perils of working in The Tea Building

The lifts in the Tea Building are always, always broken. A shared grudge between all employees in this subzero-temperatured cathedral of Shoreditch shabby chic.

Recently

to write a little note. We thought it was lovely and worth sharing, in a Nathan Barley-eat-your-heart-out kind of way.

  1. “So there are reassuringly selfish reasons to think about altruism.
In fact, you don’t even need to be a nice guy to get this.”
    That can’t be true Steve.
That would be almost like (gasp) predatory thinking.

  2. I couldn’t agree more. I also think if the ethical side does not become more of a focus, it could deter those who want to fight for something while being part of the industry from joining it. Which essentially would include the rebellious younger creative people mentioned in your previous post.
